Beauty will save the world.—Fyodor Dostoevsky
For more than twenty-five years, I worked as a graphic designer, writer, editor, and consultant. Tasked with bringing strategic and creative solutions to clients—including national sports magazines, non-profits, educational institutions, churches, fledgling upstarts, and bestselling authors—my work always had the constraint of a style sheet. So, I began painting as a way to explore my own style and was drawn to abstract art. I simply created art for its own sake. Or, I should say, for my heart's sake.
Often described as "Turner meets Rothko," my paintings brings a fresh palette and perspective that give the viewer room to breathe and an opportunity to reflect. My work can be found in homes and offices throughout the United States.
This collection of abstract work uses chalk paint, acrylics, metallic paints, and gold leaf. Each piece is then waxed by hand, which not only protects the work, but also adds depth. All are on gallery-wrapped canvases with painted edges to allow them to hang unframed.
